On February 19, 2024, the Eisenhower Leadership Program announced the 2024 Outstanding Member Award. Among them, Mr. Mai Huu Tin, Chairman of U&I Investment Joint Stock Company, a businessman from Binh Duong, is one of two Vietnamese people honored this time. Mr. Mai Huu Tin, born in 1969, is currently Deputy Head of the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV) of the Prime Minister's Administrative Procedure Reform Council, Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial Business Federation, and Chairman of U&I Investment Joint Stock Company.
This year's award has named two Vietnamese members: Mr. Mai Huu Tin and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao (also known as Thao Griffiths).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, born in 1978, is currently the Director of Public Policy in charge of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia markets, at the Asia Pacific office of Meta Group in Singapore. In 2022, President of the United States Senate, Senator Patrick Leahy, honored Nguyen Thi Thu Thao's contributions to Vietnam - US relations over the past two decades, under the title "A Tribute to Thao Griffiths".

Eisenhower Fellowships is a prestigious American organization founded in 1953 and operating on a global scale. Eisenhower Fellowships identifies and connects innovative leaders through a short-term fellowship program and engages them for life in a membership network committed to creating a more peaceful, prosperous and just world. Both Mr. Mai Huu Tin and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao were the first Vietnamese to receive Eisenhower Fellowships in 2013.

The award will be presented by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (currently Dr. Robert Gates, former U.S. Secretary of Defense) at the annual Awards Ceremony, held at the U.S. National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on May 15.The annual Distinguished Fellow Award was established by the Eisenhower Fellowships Board of Trustees in 2008 to honor members who have made significant contributions in their fields of expertise and demonstrated exceptional leadership within the global Eisenhower Fellowship network.
