Compared with businesses operating on industry and services, the atmosphere of starting operation in the beginning of new year of a business producing agricuture like Unifarm is also not less animated. On the occasion of Tet holiday this year, because at An Thai high-tech agricultural park, owned by Unifarm, it is on the rush time of harvesting eggplants to export to Japan, so nearly 50 workers have stayed here to spend their Tet holiday and also take advantage of harvesting invested achievement. Because each day they have to harvest up to 10 tons of eggplants, the atmosphere of working here is as pleasant as going on a pilgrimage, the happiness shows on each worker’s face. Present at An Thai high-tech agricultural park in the afternoon of the sixth of Tet, we are also happy with the pleasure of workers. Looking at 10 hectares of verdant and laden eggplants, our hearts are so warm about the high-tech agriculture that Unifarm has pioneered and being brought into play on the ground of An Thai.

In the quite-hot afternoon’s sunlight of one of the first days of the new year, CEO of Unifarm Mr Pham Quoc Liem also goes harvesting happily with his workers. Although having to work through Tet, many workers are still very happy and share that this is the main crop more abundant than usual, and the company also has very good policy for workers. Harvesting eggplants while talking to us, CEO of Unifarm Mr Pham Quoc Liem expresses: “The salary, bonus and working regime are increased up to 300% in the Tet holiday, so workers are very satisfied, most of them have registered voluntarily to still stay here to harvest by their own hands the achievement that they created right at the occasion of Tet. This Tet holiday, the happiness of the company is even multiplied double because beside eggplants Unifarm also planted 3 hectares of mushmelons and before Tet, more than 100 tons of mushmelons with Unifarm brand name through supermarkets such as Co.op Mart, Metro, Big C, etc have come to consumers all over the country. With the advantage of having sweet taste, good smell and being able to store for more than 1 month in normal condition so mushmelons of Unifarm are selected to display on Tet holiday by many consumers.”

Being very excited with the first achievements in researching modern planting technology, CEO of Unifarm Mr Pham Quoc Liem says: “In the next phase, the company will strengthen expanding the area of planting with the technology enjoyed from Israel. Among them, we will focus on high-grade and attained-Global-GAP-standard produce, focusing on high-grade and safe produce such as mushmelons, capsicums, etc to provide for Vietnamese consumers. At the same time, the company will invest more in Israeli-technology greenhouses to serve for the need of planting mushmelons to satisfy domestic and export markets. The company will also focus on produce that is material providing for industry of processing and exporting, developing on large area, applying high technology to create fresh produce and outstanding productivity to supply for strict markets such as Japan, Korea, etc. Besides, the company also continuously carries on models of planting fruit-trees, flowers, decorative plants, medicinal herbs on large area, appropriate to the decided project, step by step narrowing the area of short-term trees, trees improving ground to develop kinds of tree that have high economic value and appropriate to high-tech criterion of the project.”

Witnessing the atmosphere of harvesting produce at Unifarm in the occasion of this Tet holiday, we feel that An Thai high-tech agricultural park built by Unifarm with the target of leading agricultural production to the stableness has come true initially.
