Today (October 5th), Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs’ Association organized the fourth Congress for the term 2012-2015. From a small amount of members, till now the Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs’ Association with the strength of youth, enthusiasm, activeness, brainpower and the desire of success has developed constantly along with the time. On this occasion, President of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association cum President of Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (YEA) – Dr Mai Huu Tin, spent time for reporters of Binh Duong Newspaper an interview about the operation situation and development of the association in the last term…

In the role of the President of the association, how do you evaluate about the operation of Binh Duong YEA  in the last term, sir?

I can say that the third term (2009-2012) took place in the situation of extremely difficult economy, businesses were being affected by global economic crisis. However they constantly tried their best and asserted step by step the role of the representative association of young entrepreneurs of the province. Standing in front of many challenges, association members also have brought into play the activeness, creativeness, keeping stably the will, the trust, enhancing the ability of competition and having the strategy to develop stably businesses. Besides, the constant and timely attention, creating conditions about the mechanism and policies of leaders of the province have oriented, created the belief, supported and encouraged businesses to transfer challenges to chances, to help assert the position of businesses of the province on the business world in and outside Vietnam… The point that we should make good is to enhance the professional element for the association office to create more benefits for members.

Till now, through 3 terms of Congress, how is the development of Binh Duong YEA?

From an association of very few members, mostly young entrepreneurs with small and narrow operation size, till now the association has had nearly 300 members, among them there are many big businesses with the total turnover of about VND 40,000 billion, creating jobs for more than 30,000 employees in most big businesses of the province, making the association organization, about many sides, to be representative and to have very big contribution into social works, supporting-community activities in and outside the province. Only calculating separately in the last term, the supporting-community activities exceeded VND 70 billion. The special development feature of the last term was the participation of most representatives of Binh Duong entrepreneur community, to help enhance more the image and pretisge of the association with leaders of the province, entrepreneurs in the province as well as in the whole country. The activities of the association in the last term have developed by both quality and quantity, being evaluated to be one of the strongest associations in the country in the activities and works of young entrepreneurs. There have been lots of big and successful businesses of the province joining the association. There are a lot of key members who are very enthusiastic with the works of the association. Our association has also campaigned to establish and present two directly-under association branches in Di An town and Ben Cat district. The activities of  music and sports have been remained, developed and attained many awards in both the size of region and nation. The association is also honor to have leaders of the province joined with the role of honor President, members of advisory department, honor members, etc.

To solve difficulties, and to improve production and trading activities for businesses, in the last term, what did the YEA support member businesses?

We deployed many different activities. Specifically, reflecting the unreasons in the assignments of controlling economy of authority and following the solutions to solve these unreasons; organizing to exchange with sucessful entrepreneurs, many talk shows about special subjects so that young entrepreneurs could learn more experiences, strengthening knowledge about life and the skills to deal with difficulties facing everyday themselves in the works of controlling production, trading and completing personality; implementing many programs to link Binh Duong young entrepreneurs to entrepreneurs in over the country, creating chances for economic linkings; supporting one another about spirit and sharing trading chances; creating conditions for businesses in the province to join awards such as Viet Land Golden Star in order to build and broadcast brand names. Besides, Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs Corporation, with the role as the common linking bridge to promote commerce for the whole association, has also been established. The different point of this company in comparison with the Young Entrepreneurs Companies which had been established before is that the initial capital contributed by members will be taken over by the company itself when it’s in stable operation, to make the company become common asset, to serve for objectives of the association, not for personal objectives of share holders. This thing helps create common motivation in order that all members will have responsibilities to help the company operate well, since then creating a source of fund for the association to operate stably in a long time.

Do you have any comments about the role of young entrepreneurs to the development of  economy – society of Binh Duong and the whole country in the current situation?

With the reasonable support of the association, of successful seniors and leaders of the province, I believe that there will be many more successful entrepreneurs coming from young-entrepreneur movements, contributing appropriately into the works of building Binh Duong to become a big economic center of Vietnam. Binh Duong young entrepreneurs are thought to be an important part of Vietnamese entrepreneur community, loving country and proud of nation, uniting and having strong attachment, ready to contribute for community, determining not to accept misery, active, creative, never stop learning, desiring success to assert themselves and contributing to the development of the province and the country.

Could you express about the operation orientations of Binh Duong YEA in the next term and the specific plans to help the association develop more and more, supporting member businesses in order to show better its roles in the economy?

We will operate more professionally, serve better for practical needs of young entrepreneurs. Firstly it’s to enhance the abilities of linking, grasping trading chances in the scale of the whole country and overseas market; to help consume products, services of one another with high priority in the whole association at nationwide level with current 66 member associations. Besides, the association will head to completing the necessary skills of entrepreneurs, especially soft skills in conversations, dealing with relationships, building personal image, heading young entrepreneurs to the objectives of getting rich legally along with paying attention to community, determining clearly that trading business can only be successful when serving well the needs of society. Besides, the association will also join positively into the work of criticizing policies so that the sources of the province, of the country will be used better; trading environment will be more and more convenient every day; the role of entrepreneurs will be more respected; heading to the common objective that is people, among them there are entrepreneurs, getting richer in a strong country and developing more stably…
